Modec make US debut

Modec stole the show at the 23rd annual Electric Vehicle Symposium in Anaheim, US. As the only UK vehicle in the ride & drive, Modec were inundated with interest.

Jamie Borwick, Modec Chairman, addressed 1500 delegates at the Symposium's opening session and outlined Modec's approach to the US market: "The automotive graveyard is full of enthusiastic Englishmen who bring their UK vehicle to the US. We are taking our time to thoroughly understand the needs of US consumers before we adapt the vehicle and launch it this side of the Atlantic. Feedback has been extremely positive and we look forward to announcing exciting developments in 2008."

100th vehicle milestone!

Modec are proud to announce the 100th revolutionary zero emission vehicle is now a reality.

The official factory opening in March 2007 was the first Midland based vehicle manufacturing plant to open since before the war... far too many have closed down in recent years.

Having ramped up production according to schedule the Modec factory is thriving. Sales enquiries increase daily and over 40 customer vehicles are already in service.

Did you know you can swap your battery in a coffee break?

Modec battery cassettes can be exchanged in 20 minutes. This means you can operate this zero emission vehicle around the clock.

It also makes the Modec future-proof. We're already on our second generation of high energy battery technology... and we know we won't stop there. Moving from Zebra technology to Li-ion has been seamless thanks to the standard cassette that slots into the purpose built Modec chassis without affecting the vehicle or the driver. We're experts on what is inside the cassette but we don't expect our customers to consider this.
