Modec win more awards

Modec attended the highly prestigious GreenFleet awards this month, and was delighted to be presented with the award for ‘Electric Vehicle of the Year’.

Modec was selected for this award having produced an incredible zero emission delivery truck, which draws upon state of the art technology and design.  It was a spectacular evening, with many pioneers receiving awards for environmental transport and green fleet management excellence.  The awards ceremony was hosted by broadcaster Quentin Wilson and was held at Canary Wharf, London.

MODEC IN THE UK...

Building on its success in the UK market, Modec recently attended the Europe’s biggest LCV ride and drive event, WhatVan Live 2007, at the wonderful setting of the Gaydon Heritage Museum in Warwickshire. As the only zero-emission LCV manufacturer present, the two vehicles (a box van and a drop side) proved incredibly popular with both vehicles in continuous demand for demonstrations.

GOING BIG ACCROSS THE POND

Being an international automotive company, Modec is always looking for new and exciting markets. Having successfully launched in the UK, Modec is now looking to the US where interest has been growing rapidly.

Prior to launch, Modec is carrying out considerable research in order to gain a strong understanding of the US transport market and identify key players to establish where opportunities exist and where Modec would be most suitable.  To support this activity, it will be exhibiting in the US at the EVS23 trade show in December, where Modec vehicles will be available for ride and drive demonstrations. GOING DUTCH

The Modec concept seems to have found its spiritual home on the cobbled streets of Amsterdam. After a series of demonstrations Modec vehicles are about to become a very common site on the roads of this historic and environmentally conscious city.

This month also saw the appointment of a new dealer in the city, Michael Mica. As the head of the Helmstadt dealership Michael Mica will act as the main Modec dealer in the Netherlands. You will be able to meet the Modec team and explore the vehicles in detail at The European Road Transport Show (TERTS), the leading international platform for the European commercial vehicle industry and road haulage industry which takes place at the Amsterdam Rai from the 26th October to the 3rd November.
